Frequently Asked Questions

What is a credit?

Credits represent one successful MCP tool call. Different tools consume different credits based on query cost.

What happens when I run out?

Successful calls stop once credits are exhausted. The API returns HTTP 402 for no-credit states, which is different from a 429 rate-limit response.

Does this work with Claude / Cowork?

Yes. Use the custom connector URL https://www.regdatalab.com/mcp?apiKey=YOUR_API_KEY as one line in Claude's connector settings. Claude Code and other direct HTTP clients can keep using the bearer header flow.

What data sources are included?

FDA Data MCP aggregates openFDA datasets, DECRS, and FDA dashboard sources with normalization and provenance metadata.

Do you offer refunds?

Paid plans will be billed monthly and are refundable within 14 days for unused credits. Free tier is available at no cost.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Pro plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Cancel through the billing portal and your plan reverts to Free at the end of the current billing cycle.
