Product: ComplianceQuest quality management system, also marketed as EQMS and, on the vendor's 2026 LLM info page, as the QualityQuest family inside a broader Quality, Risk, and Compliance (QRC) system. Vendor: ComplianceQuest, Inc. Founded 2013, headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The 2019 Series A release is also datelined Tampa. Public phone: (408) 458-8343. Category: Enterprise / electronic quality management system (EQMS) for regulated and industrial manufacturers, delivered as Salesforce-native SaaS. Not an MES or ERP, and separate from the vendor's PLM, EHS, supplier-management, and electronic batch record products. Verification date: 2026-10-02. Scope: Public web sources only.
1. Overview
ComplianceQuest is a Salesforce-native EQMS built by founders of Pilgrim Software and sold to life-sciences and other manufacturers, with separate supplier, EHS, PLM, and batch-record products on the same platform. Its quality core covers audits, CAPA, change control, equipment, lab OOS investigations, management review, nonconformance, and product inspection, and ComplianceQuest says Gartner named it a Leader in the 2026 QMS Magic Quadrant (Quality page; LLM info).
The system runs as SaaS on Salesforce rather than on infrastructure ComplianceQuest hosts. Pricing is quote-only; ComplianceQuest publishes no list price on its own site. The AppExchange listing shows USD 30 per user per month for the lowest license type.
The 2026 LLM info page names the core QMS family QualityQuest and puts PLM, EHS, supplier management, and electronic batch records in other families. ComplianceQuest targets life sciences (pharma, biotech, medical devices, cell and gene, blood and tissue) and a long manufacturing list (aerospace, automotive, food, CPG, semiconductor, and others). (Pharma page.)
What it is not:
- Not ProductQuest (PLM): design controls and product lifecycle. DHF language appears in product-tour text on the BatchQuest page. (LLM info.)
- Not SafetyQuest (EHS): chemical management, permits, safety incidents, inspections, waste, sustainability.
- Not PartnerQuest (supplier management). The older EQMS landing page still lists "Supplier" among EQMS modules. (EQMS landing page.)
- Not BatchQuest (EBR): master batch records, guided execution, review by exception, batch release. BatchQuest sits alongside PLM, QMS, EHS, and SRM and is not an MES. (BatchQuest.)
2. Company and product identity

| Scale | ComplianceQuest says 1,500+ customer locations, 300k+ users, 1,000+ "man-years" of domain expertise, and 125M+ active records. | About; Customers |
3. Pharma and biotech relevance
- 21 CFR Part 11. ComplianceQuest says it enforces authentication before signature and keeps an audit trail of old value, new value, and change details in a separate database. The same page says the EQMS "has been deployed at medical device companies at 1000+ locations." (Part 11 page.)
- CSV. The software-validation page cites 21 CFR 820.70(i) for software that automates production or the quality system and 21 CFR 11.10(a) for electronic records. ComplianceQuest says it assists with IQ, OQ, PQ, and functional requirement specifications. (Validation page.)
- Pharma regulations listed. 21 CFR Parts 210/211 and 600, EU Directive 2003/94/EC, EU Annex 13, cGMP/cGxP, ICH Q8–Q11, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO 18001/45001, ISO 31000. The page also says use of the system leads to "the elimination of numerous warning letters and recalls." (Pharma page.)
- Lab investigations. Phase 1 to Phase 2 OOS workflows, checklists, and a field-alert assessment field, run inside the QMS. Not a LIMS. (Quality page.)
- Dr. Reddy's. A 30 March 2026 case teaser says operators completed deviation and CAPA workflows in under five minutes with nearly 80% fewer clicks across 18 manufacturing sites, on ComplianceQuest and Salesforce. The full study is behind a download form. (Dr. Reddy's teaser.)
- Cell and gene, medical devices. Listed as target industries. BatchQuest's ROI ranges are industry benchmarks, not a named therapy manufacturer.
ComplianceQuest also calls itself the "#1 AI-powered" QRC system, with no ranking source.

The EQMS landing page repeats +54%, +37%, −45% CAPA, and −50% change requests.
5. Architecture and deployment
ComplianceQuest is 100% SaaS on Salesforce. Customers inherit Salesforce's security, scalability, and multi-tenant architecture "rather than running on CQ-hosted infrastructure." The landing page says "100% cloud-based" with "auto updation." There is no on-premise edition. (LLM info; EQMS landing page.)
- "100% native force.com application suite" (trust page). AppExchange: namespace
compliancequest, "Managed (2GP)" package, listed 2014-07-11, latest version 2026-07-22. (Trust page; AppExchange listing.) - The trust page lists Salesforce certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and others). ComplianceQuest says it holds ISO 9001 and SOC 2 itself. GDPR is handled through Salesforce.
- Data-privacy page: Salesforce Shield (256-bit AES at rest, TLS 1.2 in transit), Salesforce Data Mask for sandboxes, SSO, MFA. (Data privacy.)
- AppExchange security review: approved 2020-05-21 on version 12.0.1, six years before the current July 2026 package.
- AppExchange reviews: 129, average 4.74.
ComplianceQuest publishes no data-residency choice, backup RPO/RTO, security white paper, browser matrix, or description of how "auto updation" fits a validated change window. Its architectural-overview whitepaper is gated.
6. Integrations
| Kind | Detail | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Open REST | Open REST APIs plus Salesforce low-code tools. | No published API reference. |
| System classes named | Integration page: ERP, MES, CRM, HRMS, TPA, LIMS, LMS; body repeats ERP, CRM, MRP/MOM, LIMS. Pharma page: ERP, MES, LIMS, HR, PLM. Pricing page: ERP, PLM, CRM, MES as cost drivers. | No products or versions named. |
| Salesforce products | Native fit with Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud, Service Cloud, Supply Chain solutions, and "LifeQuest 360" (a Salesforce product). Non-Salesforce partners are deferred to the integration page, which names none. | |
| AppExchange apps | Any AppExchange solution "can be easily connected," with data "at the object level." | No compatibility list. |
| CAPA and inspection | "ERP/CRM" and "simple ERP" lines on the quality page. | No connector named. |
| BatchQuest | Connects to ERP, MES, and equipment through "CQ's integration framework," and links to the QMS for nonconformance, training, and change. | Separate product. |
ComplianceQuest publishes no API catalog, SAP certification, or middleware partner.
7. Pricing and commercial model
Pricing is quote-only; ComplianceQuest publishes no list price on its site. The pricing page FAQ: "Do you Publish fixed QMS Software Pricing on the Website? No." Page published 16 January 2026, modified 19 January 2026. (Pricing page.)
- Quote inputs: user count, modules, sites, regulatory requirements, integration needs, implementation timing.
- Cost drivers: user and license mix (quality teams, approvers, read-only users, suppliers), functional scope, global footprint, integrations, regulatory depth, implementation services (configuration, data migration, training, change management).
- Customers can start with core QMS and add supplier quality, risk, EHS, and "enterprise programs" later.
AppExchange price. The listing "Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS)" (listingId=a0N3000000B5PNxEAN, publisher ComplianceQuest, Inc.) shows USD 30 per user per month for the lowest license type, with a 30-day trial and payment_type publisher_provided. Other license types exist, and volume discounts come from sales at info@compliancequest.com. This is the lowest-tier marketplace plan, not the enterprise quote.
U.S. Mint purchase orders. A USAspending search on 2 Oct 2026 found no federal award to ComplianceQuest, Inc. directly. The U.S. Mint bought "COMPLIANCEQUEST SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS) IMPLEMENTATION" through two resellers. This is the safety-management product (SafetyQuest), not the QMS. Both are firm-fixed-price purchase orders with no user count or unit price.

Questions a buyer should ask
- Is the AppExchange USD 30 per user per month plan the QualityQuest SKU, or a lower tier without modules the quote will add?
- License metric: named, concurrent, read-only, supplier, site, or module? (The pricing page names suppliers and read-only users.)
- What is included before PartnerQuest, SafetyQuest, ProductQuest, or BatchQuest become separate lines?
- Which Salesforce org, edition, and add-ons (Shield, Data Mask, MFA) must the customer already own?
- How many sandboxes, and who pays for Data Mask and validation environments?
- Is REST work, and any ERP or MES connection, in the subscription or in services?
- What IQ/OQ/PQ evidence is delivered, and what must the customer author under 820.70(i) or the current device quality-system rule?
- What does "auto updation" do to a validated configuration, and does the 2020 AppExchange security review cover the July 2026 package?
- Data residency, backup, and who owns the GxP process on a multi-tenant Salesforce org?
- Are the 1,500-location and percentage claims in the contract or only on the website?
8. Implementation and validation support
After installation, ComplianceQuest assists with installation qualification, operational qualification, performance qualification, and functional requirement specifications. It treats validation as the customer's duty. It publishes no protocol, GAMP 5 category, day count, or CSA package. (Validation page.)
ComplianceQuest says the system is "positioned as pre-validated and easy to implement" for FDA- and ISO-regulated environments, with validation services (LLM info).
The Part 11 page carries a checklist (audit trail, access, signatures, closed-loop document changes) and an outline of Part 11 "Subparts" A through G.
Leadership roles: Kim Engler, VP Quality Assurance and Knowledge Management (quality assurance, computer system validation, and knowledge management for CQ products); Govardhan Muralidhar, customer success (implementation, delivery, deployment, support); Amit Jangada, VP Professional Services.
Whitepapers on CSA/CSV (CSA-CSV.pdf) and Annex 11 are gated.
Florence Healthcare implemented in the first and second quarters of 2024. No other customer duration is public.

10. Competitive and third-party context
Gartner. ComplianceQuest's 27 January 2026 press (Tampa) says it was named a Leader in the inaugural 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Quality Management System Software, highest in Ability to Execute. The press cites "Gartner, Magic Quadrant for Quality Management System Software, By Hope Warrilow, Kate Wagner, 20 January 2026," available on request from ComplianceQuest. Gartner's report body is paywalled. The 2019 funding release says Gartner listed ComplianceQuest as the youngest company in a QMS Market Guide. (2026 press.)
Other analysts (vendor awards page). Verdantix named ComplianceQuest a Leader in its inaugural 2025 Green Quadrant for quality management software. Frost & Sullivan gave it a 2024 Product Leadership Award in a "Global Quality AI Market." ABI Research named it a Leader in a QMS ranking. LNS recognized it for AI in QMS. A separate Verdantix EHS Green Quadrant card covers EHS software. Older cards: Inc. 5000 ranks, a 2019 Frost award, a 2019 AppExchange "Appy" award.
