Product: Performix, the manufacturing execution system Honeywell acquired with Performix Inc. The current Honeywell Process product URL still uses the Performix name. Later Honeywell names (MXP, TrackWise Manufacturing) are separate products unless Honeywell says otherwise. Vendor: Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON). Before the 2021 deal, the seller was privately held Performix Inc., headquartered in Houston with offices in India. Axendia’s 2022 note places the product team in Honeywell Process Solutions, inside Performance Materials and Technologies. Category: Pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing execution system (MES) for batch-process manufacturing. Not an ERP, QMS, or distributed control system, and not Honeywell’s Manufacturing Excellence Platform. Verification date: 2026-10-02. Scope: Public web sources only.
Performix is a pharma and biotech batch MES that Honeywell bought in 2021 to sit between its Experion DCS and its Sparta (TrackWise) QMS. Honeywell now markets it with a one-paragraph page and no version, customer, or price, so a buyer has to confirm in the quote whether Performix, MXP, or TrackWise Manufacturing is the product on offer.
1. Overview
The live Performix page calls the product a flexible, modular, no-code manufacturing execution system for life sciences. It integrates with existing ERP systems, needs no programming knowledge to deploy, and aims to eliminate paper, cut cycle time, and improve quality and supply-chain traceability. It lists four modules: xMES Digital Batch, xMES Digital Procedures, xMES Weigh & Dispense, and xMES Digital Logbooks. It names no version, price, deployment model, or customer. (Honeywell Performix page, retrieved 2026-10-02.)
Honeywell announced the acquisition of privately held Performix Inc., an MES for pharmaceutical manufacturing and biotech, on 27 September 2021 (Houston dateline). Performix was to join two separate portfolio products: the recently acquired Sparta Systems QMS and Honeywell’s Experion Process Knowledge System. Terms were not disclosed. (Honeywell press, page dated 09-28-2021.)
The press says Performix served “some of the world’s leading” pharmaceutical and biotech companies, unnamed. A January 2022 Axendia briefing note adds joint work in food and beverage and says key requirements came from Pfizer and Dow Corning. (Axendia, 14 Jan 2022.)
What the product does, by source:
- 2026 page: a modular no-code MES that replaces paper and connects to ERP, with four xMES modules: Digital Batch, Digital Procedures, Weigh & Dispense, and Digital Logbooks.
- 2021 press: digital procedure and batch applications with product recipe, workflow instructions, and lot numbers; compliance and auditability information; analytics, analysis, and manufacturing intelligence.
- 2022 briefing: modules for master batch records, eBR, weigh and dispense, and electronic logbooks and procedures, with native SAP integration. The 2026 page lists weigh and dispense, batch, procedures, and logbooks as xMES modules and drops the master batch record and SAP wording.
Related Honeywell products:
- TrackWise Digital and TrackWise Manufacturing are different Honeywell life-sciences products. Honeywell’s MXP page names TrackWise Digital as MXP’s QMS; the 2021 Performix press names Sparta Systems QMS as a separate item.
- Experion is a separate product. The 2022 briefing says the MES was integrated with Experion through APIs in March 2020.
- Manufacturing Excellence Platform (MXP) covers visualization, MES, and a batch historian, and integrates with TrackWise Digital, Experion, and third-party systems. The MXP product text does not mention Performix.
- Honeywell POMS, POMSnet Aquila, Uniformance, Forge are not Performix.
- GE and Dunlee “Performix” X-ray tubes are imaging hardware with the same name.
- Status. The Performix URL is live and in the process.honeywell.com sitemap. Honeywell has announced no discontinuation or rename.

3. Pharma and biotech relevance
The pharma focus is clear, and the evidence is Honeywell’s own.
- Industry. The press limits Performix to pharmaceutical and biotech MES; the 2026 page says life sciences and batch process manufacturing. Neither names a dosage form, a site, or a cell-and-gene function.
- Batch execution. The press covers digital procedures, batch applications, recipes, workflow instructions, and lot numbers. Neither source describes review by exception, deviation workflows, or electronic signatures.
- cGMP (2022). Afzalpurkar told Axendia, “FDA cGMP requirements is in our blood, it’s how we started,” and that weigh and dispense and electronic logbooks run on libraries “we have built in and validated.” He said the key requirements of “Honeywell MES (Performix)” came from Pfizer and Dow Corning. That attributes requirements, not deployments.
- Food and beverage. Opatka cited joint wins and projects in pharmaceuticals and food and beverage, unnamed.
Honeywell’s public Performix material does not mention 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP 5, data integrity, or audit trails. “Compliance and auditability information” is the press’s only compliance phrase. No count of sites, users, or installations is published.
Regulator records. FDA and EMA searches on 2 Oct 2026 found no warning letter, Form 483, or EMA record naming Performix MES. FDA’s “Performix” records are GE / Dunlee X-ray tube listings and Class 2 recalls (2003–2005). EMA’s only “PERFORM” hit is the Pergoveris fertility study.

Honeywell publishes no administrator guide, configuration manual, or version notes for Performix.
5. Architecture and deployment
The 2026 page states no deployment model, database, browser, tenancy, or data residency. The press does not describe architecture.
What the speakers told Axendia in January 2022:
- From late 2017, work “to make sure that it is cloud enabled in any environment.”
- Pharma customers “typically have a single instance in every plant.” “As of 2019, we can now support multi plants on in single instance.”
- An edge component connects to weigh scales and other assets.
- “In the future,” an enhanced cloud offering including multi-tenant SaaS. No later Honeywell page confirms it shipped.
Honeywell publishes no orchestration platform, application server, supported browsers, backup RPO/RTO, security white paper, or current status of the 2019 multi-plant instance.
6. Integrations
| Kind | Fact | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| ERP (2026 page) | “Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing ERPS systems.” | No SAP, Oracle, or interface named |
| SAP (2022 briefing) | “Native integration to SAP”; a long SAP relationship led to SAP App Center availability in October 2019. | Analyst note of a vendor briefing; current listing status unconfirmed |
| Experion (2021 press) | A separate portfolio product the MES “will join.” | Portfolio statement |
| Experion (2022 briefing) | “In March 2020, the solution was integrated with Honeywell Experion using APIs.” | One dated claim, no API list |
| Scales | Edge component for weigh scales and other assets. | Protocol not named |
| DCS recipe authoring | Future tense (2022). | Not a current capability |

| LIMS, WMS, serialization, OPC UA | Not mentioned. | — |
7. Pricing and commercial model
Pricing is quote-only. Honeywell publishes no list price for Performix. The page has no per-user or per-site fee. The 2021 deal price for the company was not disclosed.
- The 2026 page ties modularity and no-code deployment to “accelerated ROI,” with no license metric.
- The 2022 briefing describes modular applications, a cloud-enabled product, and a future multi-tenant SaaS offer, with no subscription price.
- Honeywell publishes no implementation rate card, validation SKU, or training price.
Procurement records. Searches of USAspending, EU TED, and UK Contracts Finder on 2 Oct 2026 found no award for Performix MES. USAspending “Performix” hits belong to Performix Consulting, LLC (Department of Veterans Affairs benefits-realization work, for example VA70114F0141), Performix Business Services LLC (DoD systems administration, copier paper, an HHS MacBook purchase 75N96022P00020, toner), and GE / GE Medical Systems Information Technologies CT tubes (“GE PERFORMIX CT TUBE,” “PERFORMIX PRO 100 CT-TUBE,” “PERFORMIX ULTRA,” “PERFORMIX PRO CT”). TED’s four “Performix” notices (440627-2016, 312406-2022, 482592-2022, 572249-2025) are Bulgarian and North Macedonian hospital equipment and repair tenders, not MES. TED 272883-2026, a Garching MES competition, does not name Performix. SAM.gov was not searched.
Questions a buyer should ask
- Is the quote for Performix, MXP, TrackWise Manufacturing, or a bundle?
- What is the license metric: site, line, named user, concurrent user, module, or instance? Is weigh and dispense priced alone, and is it still offered?
- Does one instance still cover multiple plants (2019), and is multi-tenant SaaS on the price sheet?
- Which SAP release is supported, and is the 2019 App Center listing still the path?
- Is Experion required, optional, or a separate quote?
- What does “libraries we have built in and validated” mean today: vendor test evidence, customer IQ/OQ, or neither?
- What has changed since the December 2020 logbook release?
- Where does data reside, who is the GxP process owner, and what does the edge component cover beyond scales?
- Are TrackWise Digital or Sparta QMS in the MES quote?
- How will GE “Performix” tube spares and Performix Consulting LLC contracts be kept out of price comparisons?
8. Implementation and validation support
Honeywell publishes no Performix implementation-services page, method, day count, GAMP 5 category, or protocol. The product page claims no programming is required and accelerated ROI.
From the 2022 briefing:
- Afzalpurkar contrasted the old pattern of one instance per plant, each validated separately, with the 2019 ability to run multiple plants on one instance.
- Weigh and dispense and electronic logbooks run on libraries “built in and validated,” shaped by Pfizer and Dow Corning requirements and cGMP. No protocol, Part 11 assessment, or IQ/OQ/PQ is published.
- The edge component simplifies scale and asset connection.
- Integrated recipe authoring and multi-tenant SaaS were future plans.
No Computer Software Assurance package or FDA CSA reference is published.
9. Customer evidence
| Account | What is public | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Unnamed pharma and biotech leaders | 2021 press: Performix “serves some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies.” | No names, sites, versions, or dates |
| Pfizer | Afzalpurkar via Axendia: key requirements “came from Pfizer and Dow Corning.” | Requirements source, not a deployment |
| Dow Corning | Same sentence. | Same |
| Food and beverage projects | Opatka: joint wins and projects in pharma and food and beverage. | Unnamed |
| Top-20 pharma API facility | Axendia “In Brief”: Honeywell was building a GMP facility to make an API for a top-20 pharma customer using “its own technology and solutions.” | Does not name Performix |
| SAP App Center | Available there from October 2019, per the briefing. | A channel, not a customer list |
No named plant or full case study is public.
10. Competitive and third-party context
Axendia. Sandra K. Rodriguez, 14 January 2022, “Implications of Honeywell Process Solutions Performix Acquisition.” A note of a vendor briefing, and the most detailed public description of the modules, SAP, Experion APIs, and cloud history. Not a multi-vendor benchmark. Quotes are as printed, including “We’ve already show great success” and “multi plants on in single instance.”
Honeywell press. The primary record of the 27 September 2021 acquisition, the Houston headquarters, undisclosed terms, and the separation from Sparta QMS and Experion.
Gartner, Forrester, LNS, ISPE, IDC. None has a publicly available evaluation of Performix. A Honeywell campaign page references an Info-Tech / Software Reviews MES report, without public scores.
The 2021–2022 texts are more specific than the 2026 page. Treat them as dated statements: the 2022 module list is not a current datasheet, and the 2026 page carries four of those functions as xMES modules.
11. Changes and renames
- Late 2017 (per 2022 briefing): cloud-enablement work and HTML5 tablet support.
- October 2019: SAP App Center availability.
- 2019: multiple plants on one instance.
- March 2020: Experion integration through APIs.
- December 2020: release with electronic logbooks and electronic procedures.
- 2021-09-27: Honeywell acquires Performix Inc. (Houston; page stamped 09-28-2021; terms undisclosed).
- 2022-01-14: Axendia note; multi-tenant SaaS and MES/DCS recipe authoring in future tense.
- 2026: the Performix URL still serves a short no-code MES page; the MXP product text still does not mention Performix.
Honeywell has announced no rename of Performix to MXP, TrackWise, or TrackWise Manufacturing.
